A gentle reminder to myself.....

Thessalonians 4:11-12 ........make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: you should mind your business and work with your hands, just as we told you to, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.....

Gratefully received!

 Hello Dear Reader,

Today's blog is a bit of a boast. I have incredibly generous friends and family. Dad dropped some wood in, that he knew someone had ready to go into a skip. Dad popped it on his roof rack and brought it to me, I found it tucked around the side of the house this evening. I'm so thankful of such a lovely gift and the efforts he went to.
My other lovely gift that I thought I'd show off was from Man Wonderful, so nice to have someone else think of us. I cherish such actions and they make me feel loved.

Living a simpler life has made me truly appreciate the goodness of such wonderful gift. I shall be warm for hours, I shall be able to chop this into kindling to start my fire. These gifts are gratefully received.

With much love and gratitude,

Until tomorrow,

Froogs xxxxx

Your Maj,
congratulations on the acquisition of wood.

I am pleased to announce that i have set up a wiki on low-cost living here today: http://lowbudget.wikidot.com/

To an expert like yourself it will be a mere Mickey Mouse to your Sistine Chapel, but i would be very chuffed if you would like to pop over and add any points i have left out.

ps my computer has decided to give up on capitals.

It is gifts of love and thoughtfulness which mean so much more to us than costly things bought without care.

the wood will keep you doubly wamr - once to warm your body and once to warm your heart!

Ahhhhh... free blessings! Today a friend of mine blessed me with a large bag of clean, wonderful condition clothing for my daughtr to grow into! So nice to be thought of!

Next week I have a chimney man coming to look at my situation and see if we can use our woodstove, legaly and if not, what will need to be done to make it work right... You have inspired me!

Not only are they gratefully received but no doubt also given with much joy.Big splashes of gifts may be hard to come by but it is wonderful to make someone elses heart sing for just a song. Cherrie

No need for hard work and thrift anymore, just do a few affirmations every day.

I watched this programme in sheer disbelief

Yes, free warmth.
I used to keep my log fire burning on other peoples rubbish, they were usually pleased to have their scrtap wood taken away.
Even better when somebody is kind enough to deliver it.
