Hello Dear Reader,
This is a cryptic message, which I am not prepared to decode publicly. I set out to simplify my complicated life and today was a start of that. Life is going in a new direction. I will have to really, really use all of my frugal skills because of this but it will be worth it as I will have which money can't buy. Time! The downsizing has begun.
Until tomorrow,
A peaceful Froogs xxxx

No idea what you are up to but I wish you all you wish for yourself.
ReplyDeleteChange is good xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a mysterious post Froogs!
ReplyDeleteAll the very best with your new direction, wherever it takes you......
I know that whatever direction you are going in ,you would have picked the right one.

ReplyDeleteGood. All the best. Cherrie
ReplyDeleteI hope that at some point you can tell us more, but it sounds exciting x
ReplyDeleteAll the best, can't wait to find out what's going on,xx
ReplyDeleteNew clothes, new job? Possibly a less stressful and demanding one,or one with less hours now that you are 'a peaceful Froogs' and ' the downsizing has begun'. I was a fraud investigator in a former life - cryptic, clues and having a good memory for what has been said before were a way of life for a number of years.I'll understand if you don't publish this if I'm too near to the truth and you don't want other people to know.
ReplyDeleteCan I assume you have given up teaching - if so, well done. I never realised just how much teaching took out of my life until I stopped. Now I have a life again

I have been reading between the lines and wondering if something like this wasn't on the cards or had even happened already.
ReplyDeleteI really wish you all the best. I hope you can continue blogging and enlightening us all!

Froogs, we share something here. I've been given the opportunity to spend 5 hours less a week on the motorway, the chance of a job I can walk to, plus a staff uniform. Things that take a lot of stress out of my life. I hope this is the same for you xxx
ReplyDeleteI've just been offered the opportunity to take stress out of my life, 5 hours a week on the motorway, no more buying clothes for work and no more buying petrol to get to work. Hope that this is the same for you.... Best.... Jxxx
ReplyDeleteWhatever it is, good luck!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Froogs - keep us posted!
ReplyDeleteblessings xx
As long as it does not involve closing your blog, then change is good. Lately, all my fave frugal blogs are shutting down. Please don't leave us!!!
ReplyDeleteI am delighted for you. I now have much more time for things I enjoy doing, much less stress than before, and much less money. I wouldn't go back to the way things were before. I wish you well with what the future brings.
ReplyDeleteI wish you well, whatever challenges you are facing.
ReplyDeleteSometimes we must leap first and look later.... not something I am comfortable with but it has often worked out well... now living on less then less but having time with my kids is sooo worth it to me... work later, play now : )
ReplyDeleteI should have had on a seatbelt!! Didn't see this coming. I hope all is well and you are going to have less stress in a more healthful life. I am sure you are going to continue to inspire us.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes as more time = a better life, I am in the process of doing the same.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone can do it, it's you. Best of luck. JB
ReplyDeleteTime is the most precious gift you can give yourself...BRAVO on your new direction...we're all here rooting you on!!!
ReplyDeleteMore frugalling seems to indicate less money, more time means less work perhaps, so that all adds up to some sort of career change - how exciting! Do keep us posted when you feel able as we are all on this journey at your side through your blog. Wishing you many blessings xx
ReplyDeleteWhat bravery I hope your step in right direction is morenthan successful if there is such a thing! Your frugality is an inspiration and the new direction will be uber inspiring!!
ReplyDeleteYou're likely to have given a great deal of thought and planning to this change thus providing yourself with a good starting point to shape how your life will progress from this point forward. This, together with all your frugal skills, will mean that you're prepared for any challenging aspects of your new life so that you can concentrate on getting the full value out of all the wonderful opportunities the change in direction will afford. Sending you and yours all the very best wishes for your downsizing journey.
ReplyDeleteAll the best for the future

ReplyDeleteI love your blog - so please don't go !!
My husband is cutting back and going to work part time from September. He too is sooo looking forward to having more time and being stretched less thinly in all areas of life.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes in your new plans : )
Ooh how exciting!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with whatever it is you are doing!
ReplyDeleteHow very cryptic...you tease!!
ReplyDeleteWhatever direction you choose I'm sure you've chosen wisely and after much deliberation, and I look forward to following you on your latest path.

Good luck in the direction you choose to go in.
ReplyDeleteI wish you the very best of luck with your new direction, you sound very upbeat and positive. Whatever it is with your determination and frugal skills you will succeed.
ReplyDeleteKaren xx
Here's hoping that this 'big change' is your decision and not something suddenly imposed upon you from outside. Either way, we're all here with good wishes and total support. *hugs*
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your new plan.
ReplyDeleteI lived on half salary for 3 months and only spent on absolute essentials.
Once I realised I could do this, I went to part time.
I loved having Fridays and Mondays off.
I was well prepared for living frgally but well and didn't miss a thing.
If it is a career downsize, just be careful that you don't end up doing the same amount of work as before, but for less money.
Good luck Froogs! I too had to change my life, because of ill health, but it's not the end of the world rather a new beginning! With the right frame of mind it can be very exciting!
ReplyDeleteI'm being made redundant later in the year from a well paid professional job. I am looking forward to spending more time with my family, in the garden and enjoying nature... rather than the endless meetings, deadlines and corporate crap that I have to deal with at the moment.
ReplyDeleteLook for the positives in everything.
Any thing that is by choice is always a luxury however frugal!
ReplyDeleteWell done you. Go for it. You'll keep getting a big smile on your face.
ReplyDeleteLove from Mum :)
xx
Sounds wonderful! Can't wait until you tell us.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds really exciting - good for you! I'm right behind you; I've already decided that this will be my last year of full-time employment (and perhaps my last year of employment full stop - we'll have to see how that goes).

You can't get a refund on time and I have come to the conclusion that it is *the* most precious commodity bar none.
ReplyDeleteGood luck Froogs wherever you are going, whatever you'll be doing.
Not being harsh, when some one doesn't tell you something, then they have a reason. A blog is an online diary, the writer can say as much as they like. You can't ask for any more than they are prepared to write.
