Too much fabric, not enough time!
Hello Dear Reader,
Any teacher knows that the last few days of school are a push to get everything done before the end of term. I'm busy finishing what I need to get done for the term! I am busting to get back in my sewing room and finish the two quilts which are UFOs. I have designs ready to start. I thought I would share a fabulous tutorial which I am itching to have a go at. Here's a seven shirt quilt with the tutorial . I've got loads of odds and scraps to use up and this scrappy quilt design with blocked edging would be lovely and looks easy.
Here's the plan! Edge dad's quilt. Back, quilt and edge daughter's quilt. A couple of baby quilts to make. Then, epic adventure of another king size for a special occasion. The fabric is just sitting there looking at me. I even enjoy getting it out, folding and ironing it. I hear by solemnly swear that I'll finish both quilts before I start another top!
Oh let me at it!

am LOVING those storage ideas!
ReplyDeleteWow, I didn't know you were a teacher. When I was a teacher, I didn't time for any hobbies at all. I don't miss that aspect of teaching!
ReplyDeleteWhen you find the answer for extra hours for quilt making could you give me a clue..............

A lovely well organised fabric store cupboard. At least when you do have time to quilt it's all ready and to hand, and you can just get stuck in.
ReplyDeleteNot long til the summer break now, just grit your teeth and get through these last few days.

Another fantastic post. Love your quilting storage. Where do you buy your batting from and how much does it cost?
ReplyDeleteA very good problem to have!
