Your incredible kindness

Hello Dear Reader,

You never cease to amaze me! I asked for you to set off a love bomb and you certainly did. I asked you to help me help someone else and my email in box was rammed full of offers of help. Over forty people stepped up and offered to help. Forty people, from all over the world who I have never met offered to help someone they had never met. Every single one of you are totally amazing. This blog is my little daily scribble of the few things I get up to and you read, leave comments and so often show incredible kindness.

I had two parcels waiting for me when I got home. The first was some stunning fabric and I am overwhelmed with how generous total strangers can be. It's all just so beautiful. You know who you are and I can not say how grateful I am, as someone who quilts with thrifted fabrics it's lovely to see the vibrancy of these colours.

Dear Reader, you know who you are as you sent these lovely retro designs to me and they will be used and I have so many quilting ideas in my head and again, I am stunned by the generosity and kindness of strangers.

Just when I think my fabric cupboard is beginning to look a bit depleted, this happens. You have not only answered my call to help, but you have sent me the most delightful gifts and I just can't wait to get sewing.

If you've not yet entered my giveaway draw, I have some toys which were given to me by Ikea to review and I gave them a good test and now they are on offer to who ever's name is pulled out of something hattish on Friday . Click here, leave a comment and make sure you have become a follower and enter the free draw. I have another free give away at the weekend so come back for that too. It's just my little way of saying thank you to readers.

Until tomorrow,

All my heart felt love and gratitude,

Froogs xxxxxxxxxxx

  2. Hi Froog, I have tried many times to link up yesterday but each time it didn't worked for me and it had a message that some error occurred. I don't know why and I wonder if others had the same problem.
I tried clicking on XXXX and when that didn't worked I tried the other XXXXXXXX with no success.
I'm glad that so many could reach your link for the Love Bomb.

I'm glad that you got those two packages of fabric.

  5. The best thing about blogging is the friends we make all round the world - and the amazing encounters with generous people. I do hope that LOTS more people get involved in the Love bomb.

Bless you for sharing your blessings with others - and for encouraging us to do so too.

Give and it shall be given back to you- filled up, pressed down and running over...

  6. Frugal Queen, your blog is so beautifully inspirational! I love the 'love bomb' concept and have already witnessed the kindness, generosity and camaraderie experienced among fellow bloggers and frugalers. If only someone could invent a time-stretching device that fitted a couple of extra hours into each day, that would be great. I'm certainly going to need it to fit in all this frugal reading I'll be doing over the coming winter. :) Thank you for blogging.

  7. Please send info on the love bomb, as I have more crafty things than I need. Regarding your cute bags, have you considered eliminating the need for binding the edges by just sewing the inner to the outer layer? Maybe that wont work with your pattern? Love that hobo style handbag.

  8. By the way, Froogs, I just thought you might want to go to You Tube and watch some videos on How to Make a Rag Quilt. You will be amazed at how you can use up every bit of odd fabrics in these.
